Stephen Patrick Beauregard (March 30, 1959 to March 29, 2019)

Peacefully, at the age of ‘not quite 60’, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, ON.

Born in Montreal in 1959 to parents Enid-Veronica (nee Chicanot, d. October 23, 2009) and Jack (d. March 28, 2006), Stephen remained an NDG’r at heart long after pulling up stakes and moving to Toronto. Aside from theatre and performing, Stephen’s passions – Liverpool FC, nature and herpetology, history, travel, food, family and fun - were the main source of his abundant energy and joy in life.

Being a genuine people person with a wide variety of interests, Stephen developed many close friendships over the course of his life, beginning in early childhood. Bob Higden (Melissa) and the extended Higden family, Wayne Dwyer and Marty Glover (Deborah) aka Chester and Chester, the Roof Gang, the Hood, Davis and Bradley families, McGill friends and comedy and theatre friends from both on and off stage (Montreal West Operatic Society, McGill Savoy Society, First City, On the Spot, Goliath productions, Theatre Lac Brome, Theatre à la Carte, Centaur Theatre, Second City, Bloor West Village Playhouse and Mirvish Enterprises among others) - all were like family to Stephen.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend Brenda, daughter and light of his life Devon plus an immediate and extended family that grew in size and love with each passing year – siblings Chip (Sandra), Paul (Lesley), Marian-Rose, Jennifer (Lindsay, Christie, AJ), Tori, Trishna, Sandra (Rich, Paige and Landon), Tim (Sheri, Brayden and Andrew), mother-in-law Judy, sister-in-law Linda (Rob, Ethan, Aidan), plus aunts, uncles, cousins, their spouses and children from the Disher, Ball, Fullerton, Chicanot and Beauregard clans. Pre-deceased by both his parents and father-in-law Doug, Stephen will also be lovingly remembered by Sandi, Kim, Veda, Scott and Tracey.

A celebration of Stephen’s life is being planned for Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Lithuanian House, Mainstage Room, 1573 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, beginning at 3 pm.

Donations in Stephen’s memory can be made to Plan Canada, St. Joseph’s Health Centre (ICU team) or Sunnybrook Health Sciences - Ross Tilley Burn Centre.

Our world is a little emptier, the light a little dimmer for having lost you, but we know you’ll never be too far away. The sound of your laughter, the sight of your smile and the strength of your love will live with us always.
