Lynn was born in Toronto and would call 4th street in New Toronto home.
He was the oldest son of Bruce and Vera Broughton,
And the cherished brother to Faye (Terry) and Shelley (Danny).
Beloved husband to his soulmate Joan, the love of his life and his best friend.
Joan and Lynn’s life spanned New Toronto, Mississauga and finally to Thornbury where they enjoyed a short lived but happy retirement.

Dad to son Colin (Sheryl) and daughter JoAnne(Steve) and Grandfather or “Poppy” to his six grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally: Emily, Hailey(Arvin), Jacob, Devon, Camryn and Jackson. He would listen actively to what was happening in their lives, be part of the audience for a personal performance and watch with pleasure presents being opened during birthdays or Christmas.

He will be missed by longtime friend of 46 years Harry Fraser of Orillia. Their friendship would start as roommates in Etobicoke and would include classic games of chess and just hanging’ out on the 19th floor of their ‘bachelor pad.’

Lynn’s working life began by following in his father’s footsteps in New Toronto at Goodyear Canada. After the plant closure he would move to purchasing manager at Dasco Data, a supplier of office supplies and then into the electrical field with Siemens, ABB and Torbram Electric.
Lynn was well liked by his co-workers and kept in touch with many after they parted ways.

Friends will be received at Ridley Funeral Home on Monday from 1 pm to 3 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Monday at 3 pm

May he rest forever in peace with his beloved Joan.
