Taken from us suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the young age of 28. Kosi was born at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto on December 17, 1989, even upon his arrival into the world the nurses said he was a big strong and healthy boy. These characteristics would stand true throughout his life. He was always bringing joy into others’ lives with his big heart, sense of humour, generosity and extroverted personality. Kosi began his education at home in Etobicoke at Seventh Street Jr. School, from there he went to Second Street Middle School. He was a member of the Anglican faith and attended youth group at St Margaret’s Church growing up. He was the captain of the basketball team at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School and Regional Arts Centre where he graduated. His achievements carried on from there when he graduated with honours from the University of Toronto for Criminology and Political Science. Kosi was an entrepreneur that would let nothing stand in his way. He took a course in marketing and design which lead to the creation of his own clothing line. Kosi was a man of many interests but music always filled his heart. His creativity as a writer and assistant manager clearly reflected his love of rap and hip-hop. Kosi will forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. Survived by his loving parents Okwii and Thessy, his younger siblings Chinasa and Chiadi and by his girlfriend Tyneesha Du. Family and friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (at 14th St., between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Thursday, July 12 from 9 to 12 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church (156 Sixth Street, Etobicoke) on Friday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Christ Church Mimico Cemetery. Any donations may be made to the GoFundMe page set up in Kosi’s memory. Messages of Condolence may be placed at
